I recently stayed at a 4-star hotel nestled in a remote and picturesque countryside location. The hotel boasts breathtaking views of the valley and even offers a stunning view of the spectacular High Force waterfall. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff who made me feel right at home. The room I booked was clean, comfortable, and provided all the necessary amenities to ensure a cozy stay. The hotel also had excellent communal areas, including a lounge with no TV, which encouraged guests to engage in conversation and enjoy each other's company. The shared kitchen facilities were top-notch, and I even had the option to enjoy catered meals that looked absolutely delicious. this place truly exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and quality services.
I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

The Sunday lunch at this place was really nice. the meat and roasties were cooked perfectly, and the roasted onion added a delicious touch. the location of the hotel was fantastic, surrounded by stunning scenery. the friendly staff and patrons made us and our dog feel very welcome.
One aspect that could be improved is the lack of benches in the garden. It would have been nice to have more seating options.

The hotel we stayed at this Easter had a fantastic location with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. We arrived in the late afternoon and were pleasantly surprised to find tea and biscuits waiting for us in our room. the rooms were clean, comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed walking in the nearby public footpaths which were easily accessible from the hotel's location.
Although the hotel was charming, it lacked certain amenities we were looking for. the lack of Wi-Fi and mobile phone reception made communication difficult.

The view from the room was stunning and the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. The staff were friendly and accommodating with our requests. We also appreciated the self-catering facilities in the kitchen. We were able to easily cook our own meals and save money.
The accommodations were not up to the standard we expected. The bed was uncomfortable and the bedding was old.

Nestled in a stunning rural location, this hostel offers a true escape from day, to, day life. the river running by the property and the surrounding dark sky area enhance the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. the cozy and inviting common areas are perfect for those looking to unwind after a long day of exploring. the self, catering kitchen is well, maintained, and the communal showers and WCs are kept immaculately clean.
The hostel is not always open during the day; checking the hours in advance may save visitors some hassle.

The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful upper Teesdale area, and the hostel itself was a true gem. the private room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, with a stunning view of the valley. the staff, led by Laura, were incredibly welcoming and friendly, going above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. the hostel had excellent facilities, including plenty of showers and toilets, as well as a fantastic drying room. the option to book breakfast and dinner was convenient and provided great value, plus it offered a chance to chat with fellow guests. a truly idyllic and memorable stay. Cons: No issues 👍.
